Fraser Prize
In 2017, the Department of Microbiology established the "Fraser Prize in Microbiology" to honor our friend and colleague Dr. Nigel Fraser. Dr. Fraser was a member of the Microbiology department from 1982 until his retirement in 2015, and he ran our Virology course for many years. He is not only an excellent scientist, but also a dedicated mentor, teacher and University citizen. Dr. Fraser has sponsored an annual award available to honor a graduate student demonstrating excellence in research achievement and citizenship.
