As of July 1, 2025 Penn HR manages all insurance plans for postdoctoral trainees at the University of Pennsylvania.

The Office of Global Support Services (GSS) collaborates with the Penn Community to navigate the complexities of international initiatives. GSS shares knowledge, streamline processes, and provide solutions that adapt to global landscapes.

Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) supports research at the interface of basic and clinical research focusing on developing new and safer medicines. ITMAT also offers an extensive palette of educational programs in clinical and translational science both for investigators and research support staff, as well as mentorship training opportunities for faculty in collaboration with BPP and the Biomedical Graduate Studies office.

Biomedical Graduate Studies (BGS) oversees the training of approximately 1100 PhD students in the biomedical sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.

Penn Postdoc Association (PPA)
  is a community of postdoctoral scholars at the University of Pennsylvania dedicated to promoting solidarity and support among postdocs across schools and institutions within the university system. They represent over 1,400 postdocs, welcoming postdocs from all 12 schools of the university, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Monell Chemical Senses Center, Swarthmore College, and the Wistar Institute. Their mission is to enhance the postdoctoral experience at Penn by addressing shared interests and concerns through community building, career development and training, and advocacy for postdocs. Membership in the PPA is free and open to all postdocs at Penn.

Du Bois Postdoctoral Circle's (DBPC) mission is to support the educational, professional, and social growth of Black postdocs and other marginalized postdoctoral scholars at the University of Pennsylvania. Du Bois Postdoctoral Circle (DBPC) is open to all postdocs at the University of Pennsylvania as well as postdoctoral trainees affiliated with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Monell Chemical Senses Center, and the Wistar Institute.
