Recent Global Health Projects

1) Graduate medical officer, emergency medicine training course in Guyana.
I helped perform a needs assessment in different geographical regions of Guyana to determine gaps in resources and staff training that later was used to help develop a crash course in emergency medicine throughout the country. This course is currently endorsed by the local ministry of health. This course has had two iterations with future iterations planned. The course is geared towards graduate medical officers throughout Guyana, which are junior physicians who staff emergency departments throughout the country but lack formal emergency medicine training.

2) American Indian Alaskan Native health committee. I cochair the AIAN committee under the society of academic emergency medicine, a national emergency medicine organization. In this role, we are creating a central repository for various IHS projects, webinar content, and articles that aim to highlight and improve AIAN health.
