Welcome to SPO

Space Planning & Operations (SPO) works with Penn Medicine leadership and building occupants to plan and administer use of the Perelman School of Medicine's physical resources. We provide building operations and support services that enable and enhance the School of Medicine's mission. SPO comprises six work groups responsible for the services below.

Represents PSOM by handling capital project planning, space needs assessments and floor plan layouts, preliminary project scope development, furniture consulting, space inventory, off-campus space management, and sustainability as well as providing project management support of new, renovation, and infrastructure renewal design and construction projects, equipment installation, and move coordination.

► Scheduling & Event Services | 215-573-5555 | staff

Responsible for the scheduling process, service coordination, and management of the PSOM shared meeting space. SES uses the CollegeNET 25Live Scheduling System to provide Penn Medicine access to classroom and meeting space in support of the academic, research, and clinical mission.

► Strategy & Operations | 215-898-8760 | staff

Administration and coordination of day-to-day facilities operations: housekeeping, maintenance, building systems, utilities, minor construction services and general work requests, as well as signage, key requests, and emergencies in all Perelman School of Medicine on- and off-campus buildings. Development and management of capital plans, coordination of facilities management strategic initiatives, prioritization and implementation of infrastructure renewal. Oversight and management of leased portfolio, including lease management and all operations in portfolio.
